Grey Cup in Hudson & Ste. Anne’s Saturday
Canadian football fans should ensure the batteries are fresh in their cameras when the CFL Grey Cup rides into the region this weekend.
The storied trophy that the Montreal Alouettes captured at the end of the 2009 season in one of themost bizarre game conclusions in sports history will be in Hudson and Ste. Anne de Bellevue Saturday, as well as on theWest Island.
Montreal Alouettes players Scott Flory and Paul Lambert will deliver the cup to three Cunningham’s restaurant locals on January 16, including the newly opened Hudson pub.
The cup will be at Cunninghams Bea- consfield, located at 205 Alton Drive, from
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Cunninghams Hudson, situated at 84 Cameron, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and finally Cunninghams Ste. Anne de Bellevue, 75 Ste. Anne St., Ste-Anne de Bellevue, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The cup will then be at Bourbon StreetWest, 1866 Sources Blvd. in PointeClaire, from10:00 p.m. to midnight.
And while fans can get free autographs and pictures, each location will be accepting donations to benefit the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Foundation, the Tony Proudfoot Fund and The West Island Palliative Care Residence. For more information, call 514 691-2721.
