playing at Hudson professional theatre
Mrs. Robinson and Benjamin Braddock have come to the Hudson Village Theatre and anyone familiar with the iconic 1967 film by the same name may want to take in a stage version adapted from the movie more than seven years ago.
The Graduate will run at the Hudson professional theatre until Sunday.
Set in 1960s California, the play tells the story of college graduate Benjamin Braddock and the life lesson he receives when beginning an affair with Mrs. Robinson, a family friend and an assertive, seductive older woman.
The stage version of the movie that starred Anne Bancroft and Dustin Hoffman was adapted in 2002 and was a success in London and later Broadway.
The Hudson Village Theatre version features new and established actors in a show called “compelling mix of comedy and pathos.” It also has adult themes and brief nudity. The Graduate will play at the Hudson Village Theatre, 28, rue Wharf in Hudson, on March 25 and 26 at 8:00 p.m., March 27 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and on March 28 at 2:00 p.m. For tickets or information, call 450 458-5361, or log onto www.villagetheatre.ca.
