Animal art show leaps into second year
A Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue art gallery is hosting a second annual show that's going to the dogs... and cats.
Art to the Rescue 2 will kick off at Galerie Ouest in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue on November 18. A vernissage will be held November 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Proceeds from the animal themed show will go toward helping two animal adoption centres: Rosie Animal Adoption and Animatch.
Artists from Montréal, Ontario and Manitoba have donated works for exhibition and sale. Fifty-percent of sales will be donated to the animal charities. Gallery owner Helena Scheffer says the "exceptional" works include various media such as oil, pastel, watercolour, textiles, mosaics, photography and sculptures. All art will feature wild or domestic animals.
Art to the Rescue 2 will run from November 18 to 28 at Galerie Ouest, located at 37, rue Saint-Thomas in SainteAnne-de-Bellevue. For information, call 514 695-8249.
