Area churches unveil holiday activities
You know the holidays are around the corner when local churches roll out the red carpet for the festive season.
Such is the case in Hudson at Wyman Memorial United Church, as well as St. Patrick of the Island Church in Pincourt.
For the latter, St. Patrick will host a Christmas Bazaar during the evening on December 2 and 3 and on December 4 from10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church, located at 278, rue Shamrock in Pincourt. Organizers promise several Christmas gift tables, a bake table, a white elephant table and a country kitchen.
And area kids will get the chance to eat breakfast with Santa at St. Patrick from8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on December 11.
Meanwhile, Wyman church in Hudsonwill hold its annual turkey dinner and Christmas bazaar this weekend, December 4, among several planned events.
The dinner will include turkey with trim- mings, while the bazaar will feature bake sale and plant tables and local gift card sales.
Tickets can be purchased at Mays Studio, Trinkets store and from the church. And organizers atWyman are taking orders for home-made plum pudding, as well as decoratively wrapped Christmas baskets filled with Christmas cakes, fudge, shortbread, jams, cheeses, chocolate covered raisins and coffee. Other events atWyman Church include: Concerto Della Donna on December 5 at 4 p.m. The dynamic prize winning group of young Montreal singers will present Cantemos AMaria. And the annual Santa's Breakfast will be held on December 11 from 8 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.
