Hudson gets animated with cartoon-themed Santa parade

L'Etoile - - IN OTHER WORDS -

Hudson got into the Christmas spirit last Sunday when the town hosted its annual Santa Claus Parade along Main street.

This year's cartoon theme event included 40 floats while dozens of community groups and local organizations also marched in the parade with their own cartoon twist on Christmas.

The Grinch of Dr. Seuss fame was a hit with the hundreds of onlookers who came out for the fun, but chilly event, while a local Scouts of Canada troop dressed in creative, home-made Sponge Bob Square Pants costumes.

Students fromWestwood Sr. High School boisterously sang Christmas carols while collecting donations to support their ongoing Bridge to Burundi effort to add onto a schoolhouse they have funded in Burundi, Africa.

And members of Hudson's town council offered fresh apples supplied by the Hudson Farmers' Market to people along the parade route.

As is tradition, the final float in the parade carried Santa Claus who shared his prestigious floatwith a Disney-esque Cinderella.

The Grinch may have stolen Christmas but he was a hit with on-lookers during Hudson's annual Santa Parade Sunday.

Santa Claus and Cinderella shared the final float along the parade route.
