Holiday Farmers' Markets brimming with goodies
Though the outdoor garden season is over, area farmers, food producers and artisans are still offering fresh treats in time for the holiday season.
This Saturday and next - December 11 and 18 - farmers' markets in Sainte-Anne-deBellevue and Hudson will host special holiday events.
The Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Farmers' market recently moved to its indoor location. The market is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. George's church, located at the corner of SaintGeorges and Maple streets.
And organizers promise an extra helping of holiday sweets, breads, meats, specialty and organic foods and more during the next two Saturdays.
Recycled Christmas decorations will also be sold and there will be a raffle. The market will close for the holidays after December 18. It will reopen beginning Saturday January 15. For more information, call 514 457-7244.
And the Holiday Season Farmers' Market, running the next two Saturdays until Christmas at theHudson Legion, will offer a host of holiday treats, fresh foods and more.
The market is a seasonal extension of the popular Thursday farmer's market that runs all summer in Hudson.
The Hudson Holiday Season Farmers' Market will run Dec. 11 and 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Legion Branch 115 located at 56 Beach Ave. in Hudson. For information call 450-458-4882.
