Pincourt conference lifts veil from tarotmystery

L'Etoile - - IN OTHER WORDS -

A conference taking place tonight in Pincourt will help demystify the ancient art of tarot card reading.

Using a PowerPoint presentation, tarot card reader Pierre Alain will reveal the mysteries of the art of divination that have fascinated people from ancient times to modern day.

"Who has never had their cards read?" asks a notice about tonight's event.

"This conference will help lift the veil on the mysterious tarot. A brief overview of its origins, its history, its representations and its use allows us to discover all the subtleties of this unknown art of divination," reads a press release.

The tarot card workshop will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, at the Pincourt Omni-Centre, located at 375, boulevard Cardinal-Léger.

For reservations, call 514 425-1104, extension 6244 or reserve by going in person to the town municipal library, located at 225, boulevard Pincourt (Chêne-Bleu High School) in Pincourt.
