Indoor farmer's market rocks into new year
The Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue indoor farmer's market will kick off 2011 by serving up some musical goodies for patrons this Saturday. Marché Sainte-Anne will welcome musicians Bill Gossage andMike Bleho on January 15. The indoor winter market, which organizers say is the only one of its kind to continue offering fresh goods, foods and artisan products during the colder months, runs each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the basement of the St. Georges' Anglican church, located at 23, rue Perrault, (entrance on Saint-George and Maple) in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.
As many as 15 merchants will participate this Saturday by offering such items as organic meats and vegetables, artisan bread, organic flour, honey, baked goods, jams and preserves, organic goat's cheese, Ethiopian Enjara rolls and other foods. The market will also feature sweets and coffee.
The indoor portion of the market will continue until May 7 when it will then return to its outdoor roots, located across from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue town hall. For information about the market, call 514 457-7244 or email them at: marche firstname.lastname@example.org
