Hudson St. Patrick's Day parade Saturday
The Hudson St. Patrick's Day Parade will kick off in all its green glory this Saturday, and organizers promise a celebration not to be missed.
The event will take place March 19 along rue Main in Hudson starting at 1:00.
The rout will take floats and marching groups from Westwood Sr. High School, on côte Saint-Charles, along rue Main and end at Cunningham's Pub, where judges will determine winners in a variety of categories.
Parade dignitaries will include Grand Marshall and Senator Larry Smith, Hudson Mayor Michael Elliott, parade queen Suzie de Bellefeuille and princesses Ariane Leigh Brazeau and Kimberly Hennessy, as well as Patrick O'Grady, who was named Irishman of the Year. Many mayors from the region will also be in attendance for the event, that is expected to exceed last year's inaugural parade.
Meanwhile, Scoopy the mascot, the newest member of the Hebdos du Suroît family, will also be on hand to greet kids and get in on the St. Patrick's Day action.
