Birchwood student’s poem shines

L'Etoile - - IN OTHER WORDS - By: Kajsa Pointe-des-Cascades Grade 4 student at Birchwood School

Astudent at the newly opened Birchwood elementary school wrote such an impressive poem for a holiday assignment that Grade 4 English teacher Cathy Roberts submitted it for readers to enjoy:

My Christmas Wish List

What I’d like for Christmas Is two little white mice And a glimmering Christmas tree Would also be nice. Some cute little bells to jingle at night And a gift under the Christmas tree With my name in shining lights. A tin of cookies to nibble at dawn And a sugarplum fairy dancing with a fawn. I knew my wishes Would all come true On this night It was all true.
