Get­ting fresh, lo­cal­ly gown food can be so­mew­hat of a chal­lenge du­ring win­ter months when gro­ce­ry store of­fe­rings are of­ten brought in from coun­tries with war­mer cli­mates. But food pro­du­cers af­fi­lia­ted with Sainte-anne-de-bel­le­vue far­mers’ mar­ket Mar­ché Sainte-anne, of­fer ano­ther al­ter­na­tive du­ring cold win­ter months. The in­door mar­ket ope­rates each Sa­tur­day un­til the middle of May from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St-georges An­gli­can church, si­tua­ted at 23, rue Per­rault in Sainte-anne-de-bel­le­vue (the mar­ket’s en­trance is on Saint-georges and Maple streets.) There, lo­cal far­mers sell or­ga­nic win­ter ve­ge­tables, or­ga­nic meats, fresh ar­ti­san breads, ba­ked goods, ho­ney, cheese, jams, pre­serves, cof­fee, sweet treats and more.
