Marché Sainte-anne one of few winter markets
Getting fresh, locally gown food can be somewhat of a challenge during winter months when grocery store offerings are often brought in from countries with warmer climates. But food producers affiliated with Sainte-anne-de-bellevue farmers’ market Marché Sainte-anne, offer another alternative during cold winter months. The indoor market operates each Saturday until the middle of May from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St-georges Anglican church, situated at 23, rue Perrault in Sainte-anne-de-bellevue (the market’s entrance is on Saint-georges and Maple streets.) There, local farmers sell organic winter vegetables, organic meats, fresh artisan breads, baked goods, honey, cheese, jams, preserves, coffee, sweet treats and more.
