Les Cèdres library of­fi­cial­ly ope­ned

Re­si­dents in Les Cèdres now have a beau­ti­ful, mo­dern new library in which to while away the la­zy days of sum­mer now that the Town has of­fi­cial­ly ope­ned its mu­ni­ci­pal library.

Ac­com­pa­nied by Sou­langes MP and Chief Go­vern­ment Whip, Lu­cie Char­le­bois, who was there on be­half of Culture and Com­mu­ni­ca­tions mi­nis­ter Ch­ris­tine St- Pierre, Les Cèdres mayor Gé­ral­dine T. Ques­nel wel­co­med re­si­dents to the library du­ring a grand ope­ning that was held on Sa­tur­day.

Char­le­bois, who ex­pres­sed de­light that cons­truc­tion had gone so well, said she ho­ped the library would per­mit re­si­dents to make “beau­ti­ful li­te­ra­ry and cultu­ral dis­co­ve­ries.”

High­ligh­ting the library’s new col­lec­tions and mo­dern fa­ci­li­ties, Char­le­bois ad­ded she thinks the library will be a place that will fa­vour know­ledge and re­search.

The fa­ci­li­ty, boas­ting an ex­ten­sive and di­verse col­lec­tion of books, al­so of­fers a mul­ti­pur­pose room, in­for­ma­tion posts, in­ter­net and Wi-Fi ac­cess and a chil­dren’s sec­tion.
