Tea­cher goes un­der ra­zor when stu­dents meet run chal­lenge

ADor­set Ele­men­ta­ry School tea­cher lost a full head of cur­ly locks last week af­ter stu­dents and staff at the Baie-D’Ur­fé school rai­sed more than $1,800 du­ring an an­nual Ter­ry Fox run.

Phy­si­cal edu­ca­tion tea­cher Scott Tay­lor ho­nou­red his pro­mise to shear his hair if tea­chers and stu­dents were able to raise the mo­ney and clock more than 3,000 ki­lo­me­ters du­ring the run that took place Sept. 27. Tay­lor said he had let his hair grow long prior the chal­lenge in or­der to mo­ti­vate people to want to see it cut off. He said ma­ny had com­pa­red him to a fa­mous co­me­dy trio.

“Some people may think I still look like (one of the Th­ree Stooges),” Tay­lor jo­ked, ad­ding that he’d be more than willing to do it again. “It’s for a great cause – I’m real­ly proud of our stu­dents.”
