Teacher goes under razor when students meet run challenge
ADorset Elementary School teacher lost a full head of curly locks last week after students and staff at the Baie-D’Urfé school raised more than $1,800 during an annual Terry Fox run.
Physical education teacher Scott Taylor honoured his promise to shear his hair if teachers and students were able to raise the money and clock more than 3,000 kilometers during the run that took place Sept. 27. Taylor said he had let his hair grow long prior the challenge in order to motivate people to want to see it cut off. He said many had compared him to a famous comedy trio.
“Some people may think I still look like (one of the Three Stooges),” Taylor joked, adding that he’d be more than willing to do it again. “It’s for a great cause – I’m really proud of our students.”
