Hud­son Ar­tists hos­ting fall sale

Raffle and pro­ceeds be­ne­fit NOVA

Ar­tistes Hud­son Ar­tists will host an an­nual fall sale this week and wee­kend that will be ki­cked off Friday eve­ning with a ver­nis­sage.

The 2012 fall edi­tion of the Ar­tistes Hud­son Ar­tists (AHA) Ex­hi­bi­tion and Sale will run Oct. 19, 20 and 21 at the Ste­phen F. Shaar Com­mu­ni­ty Centre, lo­ca­ted at 394 Main Rd., in Hud­son.

Pro­ceeds will be­ne­fit NOVA Hud­son, a non-pro­fit or­ga­ni­za­tion that has been pro­vi­ding com­mu­ni­ty health care in the Hud­son and Saint-La­zare area since 1956. Nova nurses and vo­lun­teers, who re­ceive no fe­de­ral or pro­vin­cial fun­ding, of­fer re­spite and as­sis­tance to people suf­fe­ring from Alz­hei­mer’s, M.S. strokes, can­cer and more. Nova Hud­son al­so of­fers a vo­lun­teer dri­ving pro­gram.

About AHA

The non-pro­fit Ar­tistes Hud­son Ar­tists, an as­so­cia­tion that’s been in exis­tence for 62 years, is com­pri­sed of 80 ar­tists from Hud­son and other Vau­dreuil-Sou­langes MRC towns. The as­so­cia­tion’s goal is to al­low its ar­tist mem­bers to ex­change and share know­ledge and ex­pe­riences in most forms of vi­sual arts through ex­hi­bi­tions and work­shops.

The fall sale ver­nis­sage will take place Friday eve­ning from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The ex­hi­bi­tion, fea­tu­ring ori­gi­nal art works in a range of dif­ferent styles and me­diums such as wa­ter­co­lour, oil, acry­lic, mixed me­dia and more, will conti­nue Sa­tur­day and Sun­day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
