Thousands attend John Abbott open house
Close to 7,000 people including prospective students and their parents, attended one of two open houses at John Abbott College Saturday.
Communications Officer Debbie Cribb said the Oct. 19 event that took place from noon to 4 p.m., gave potential students the chance to check out the English CEGEP’s many pre-university and career programs. Especially popular this year were tours of the newly completed state-of-the-art Anne-Marie Edward Science building, where all science related departments are grouped.
Close to 200 volunteers and teachers were on hand to ensure that the open house ran smoothly. The next open house will be held at the Ste. Anne de Bellevue campus on Jan. 29, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
