Silly & Frilly run clo­sing fes­ti­val

Ska­ters and re­ve­lers of all ages took ad­van­tage of mil­der win­ter tem­pe­ra­tures Sa­tur­day to at­tend Hud­son’s Shi­ver-Fest Pine Lake Tra­di­tio­nal Ska­ting Par­ty.

The Feb. 1 event in­clu­ded ice ska­ting, as well as horse drawn sleigh rides, ice fi­shing de­mons­tra­tions, and, the main event, the crow­ning of the Shi­ver-Fest king and queen.

Up next will be the fi­nal event of the win­ter fes­ti­val, the Silly & Frilly Va­len­tine’s Ice Bridge Run (or walk), which will take place on Feb. 9, with 4 K., or 12 K. courses.

The po­pu­lar outdoor event is billed as a “fun run where eve­ry­bo­dy dresses up in so­me­thing fun and frilly (or sexy...”) The 12 K. run will be­gin at 9 a.m., in the par­king lot of the Hud­son SAQ out­let, lo­ca­ted at 502, rue Main, while the 4 K. event will be­gin at 9:30 a.m. at the Oka Fer­ry/Ice Bridge en­trance, si­tua­ted at 158, rue Main, near Bel­le­vue.
