Palliative home serves profitable breakfast
Proving it can think outside of the box in an effort to raise much needed funds, organizers at the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence in Hudson recently accepted a generous donation in exchange for providing breakfast and a meeting room for advisors from the West Island Investors Group. The financial team kicked off their annual meeting at the home by presenting the VSPCR with a cheque for $5,550. Raymond Massa, Regional Director for Investors Group said the donation was made possible thanks to the generosity of their advisors and directors.
The VSPCR has offered specialized palliative care free of charge to kids, teens and adults in a terminal-phase of illness since September, 2010. The home relies heavily on public donations to offer its end-of-life care with dignity and respect.
