Second candidate cleared for federal Liberal nomination
Green light for Richard Beaumier
The Liberal Party of Canada has approved a second candidate in his bid to represent the federal party in the Soulanges-Vaudreuil riding
On April 30, the Liberals gave the green light to Richard Beaumier, approving him to seek the nomination for the newly drawn electoral district.
Beaumier joins Louis-Charles Roy as the second candidate to be approved by the party to run in the riding.
Beaumier, who earned his MBA from HEC-Montreal, is an active real estate broker in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges area, as well as a chartered professional accountant. He additionally serves as treasurer of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Chamber of Commerce (CCIVS) and president of the Fondation Richelieu des Trois-Lacs.
Beaumier and his campaign team have been working since mid-December to rally liberal supporters in order to be ready for a nomination meeting to be held before the 2015 federal election.
The party’s Soulanges-Vaudreuil candidate will be chosen during a secret ballot vote in the riding to be held during a Lib- eral Party nomination meeting. A meeting date has not yet been set.
