Hud­son Car Show re­vi­ving its en­gines Sa­tur­day

The fourth an­nual Hud­son Car Show will roll in­to town on Ju­ly 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Vin­tage, clas­sic and hot rod cars, ma­ny 25 years or ol­der, will be on dis­play at the cor­ner of Ca­me­ron and Main roads, while Ca­me­ron will be clo­sed bet­ween St-Jean and Main du­ring the event so vi­si­tors can walk the area with ease.

And since 2014 marks the 50’th anniversary of the Mus­tang, the my­thic car will be the « guest of ho­nour » du­ring Sa­tur­day’s event.

The show that was star­ted in 2011 by th­ree Hud­son bu­si­ness­men was seen as a way to bring people and co­lour to town. It went from dra­wing 75 cars the first year to 240 last year.

Car ow­ners came from Mo­rin Heights, St-Lin, Bros­sard, An­jou, La­val, Ro­se­mère, Corn­wall, Alexan­dria, Bea­cons­field, Hud­son and St-La­zare to show cars such as a Ford 1934, Che­vro­let Bel Air 1956, Ply­mouth Bar­ra­cu­da 1967, and more. In kee­ping with a 1950s theme, mu­sic from the era will be played Sa­tur­day, while vi­si­tors are en­cou­ra­ged to dress in per­iod clo­thing. A tro­phy event and raffles will be held.
