Hudson Car Show reviving its engines Saturday
Going back to the 1950s
The fourth annual Hudson Car Show will roll into town on July 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Vintage, classic and hot rod cars, many 25 years or older, will be on display at the corner of Cameron and Main roads, while Cameron will be closed between St-Jean and Main during the event so visitors can walk the area with ease.
And since 2014 marks the 50’th anniversary of the Mustang, the mythic car will be the « guest of honour » during Saturday’s event.
The show that was started in 2011 by three Hudson businessmen was seen as a way to bring people and colour to town. It went from drawing 75 cars the first year to 240 last year.
Car owners came from Morin Heights, St-Lin, Brossard, Anjou, Laval, Rosemère, Cornwall, Alexandria, Beaconsfield, Hudson and St-Lazare to show cars such as a Ford 1934, Chevrolet Bel Air 1956, Plymouth Barracuda 1967, and more. In keeping with a 1950s theme, music from the era will be played Saturday, while visitors are encouraged to dress in period clothing. A trophy event and raffles will be held.
