Saint-Lazare photographer featured in exhibit
Works by a well known Saint-Lazare photographer —ART will be profiled during a month long exhibit getting underway this week at the municipal library. A vernissage will be held at 7 p.m. on Dec. 1. Peter Zeeman, who has won several prestigious photography awards across Canada, will present a collection of some of his best work. The exhibit will run at the Saint-Lazare Library, during regular library hours, from Dec. 1-30.
Over the years Zeeman has focused his lens on a variety of subjects including urban settings and rural landscapes. A haunting black and white image that captured an urban church as it was reflected in a puddle on a cracked cobblestone street, won Zeeman the photo of the month award during the Montreal Camera Club’s Life March 2015. In addition, Zeeman has become known in animal circles for his captivating pet portraits, which often capture the animals in natural settings. Zeeman will be on hand during the vernissage to answer questions and chat with guests. The Saint-Lazare Library is situated at 1275, rue du Bois.
