Union Church hos­ting Road Show concert


A po­pu­lar —STE-ANNE-DE-BEL­LE­VUE concert se­ries hos­ted for the past se­ve­ral years at Union Church in Ste-Anne-de-Bel­leuve will take place next wee­kend. ‘A Gift of Light, New Re­flec­tions on an Old Sto­ry,’ the 6th in a se­ries of suc­cess­ful Road Show concerts the church has hos­ted du­ring the past five years, will be held over two days: Dec. 17 and Dec. 18. The “high­ly in­te­gra­ted” 90 mi­nute concerts that is ins­pi­red by the na­ti­vi­ty sto­ry, will fea­ture a di­verse selection of mu­sic and images. The event will in­clude an 18 voice choir, so­loists, as well as an ins­tru­men­tal en­semble.

Or­ga­ni­zers say the mu­si­cal tri­bute is pri­ma­ri­ly a me­di­ta­tion on uni­ver­sal as­pects of the Ch­rist­mas Eve na­ti­vi­ty sto­ry in re­cog­ni­tion of the contem­po­ra­ry, glo­bal world we live in. The Dec. 17 concert will be­gin at 8 p.m., while the Dec. 18 event will get un­der­way at 2 p.m. at Union Church, 24, Maple St., Ste-Anne-de-Bel­le­vue.
