Hun­dreds ce­le­brate ho­li­days with free ac­ti­vi­ties

The Dec. 10 event that was open to re­si­dents, —CH­RIST­MAS be­gan at the com­mu­ni­ty centre with a chil­dren’s Ch­rist­mas show. That was fol­lo­wed by a vi­sit with San­ta, who gif­ted up to 200 chil­dren with books in a va­rie­ty of age groups. The books were gi­ven cour­te­sy of the town. Meanw­hile, the Op­ti­mist Club hos­ted free sleigh rides and han­ded out grilled cheese sand­wiches and hot cho­co­late on the cold but clear mor­ning. Sa­bri­na Ad­di­son-Thi­bault, Saint-La­zare Culture and Events co­or­di­na­tor said more than 300 re­si­dents took ad­van­tage of the free ac­ti­vi­ties.
