Businesses offering free toys to young families
A local eco-friendly family boutique that opened its —CHRISTMAS doors during the past year will host a gift distribution for local families in need Friday.
Pure Pommette, a Vaudreuil-Dorion boutique specializing in environmentally friendly baby and child goods such as cloth diapers, ergonomically designed baby carriers, and more, has joined forced with three other local businesses to collect new and used toys.
The gifts will be donated on a first-come-first-served basis between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., on Dec. 23.
The gift giveaway will take place at Pure Pommette, located at 470, Saint-Charles Ave., in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Pure Pommette owner Jennifer Dumoulin said that since the holidays are about “abundance and rejoicing,” the group of mothers and businesses decided to start the collection to offer a little comfort to young families who may need a helping hand.
In addition to Pure Pommette, local companies that held toy collections include: Dandelion & Coccinelle, Stella Etc. and Stéphanie BeaudrySéguin Chiropractor. All the collected items will be distributed during the day on Dec. 23. For updates about gift availability during the day, go to Pure Pommette’s Facebook page, or call 450-218-7873.
