The International Peace Garden

Manitoba Gardener Magazine - - LOCAL DIRT -

The board bids a fond, farewell to Garry Enns as executive director at the International Peace Garden this March. Garry is recovering from his car accident and the prognosis appears to be reassuring. Meanwhile, Gwen Wooley has taken over responsibility as interim executive director as the search for Garry’s replacement continues.

The Garden is gearing up already for another stellar year as Connie Lagerquist plans the annuals display and Johannes Olwage gets the cactus and succulents garden in gear. If you’re longing for a touch of green, take a drive to the Peace Garden. It’s only 2.5 hours from Winnipeg and the greenhouse is open all year long.

The Peace Garden features one of the largest cactus and succulent collection in the world.
