Red River North Gar­den and Art Tour Sun­day July 22 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. $30

Tour beau­ti­ful gar­dens and en­joy amaz­ing art­work found among the flow­ers of pri­vate yards and pub­lic sites along the Red River North. The tour con­sists of four pub­lic gar­dens and four pri­vate yards and a mar­ket stop along the way.

The four pub­lic spa­ces are Gaynor Fam­ily Re­gional Li­brary and its prairie grass gar­dens with an in­ter­preter, Selkirk wa­ter­front, Cap­tain Kennedy House gar­dens and St. An­drews Her­itage Cen­tre. There are two ur­ban yards within the city of Selkirk, one pri­vate yard in St. An­drews and one in St. Cle­ments.

There will be artists of all kinds in each of the gar­dens. The artists who are at­tend­ing will be pain­ters, pot­ters, jew­elry mak­ers, and oth­ers show­ing stained glass, steel works, barn quilts and chain saw carv­ings to name just a few.

Thanks to one spon­sor, Skin­ners Locks Mar­ket, you can en­joy a ru­ral mar­ket, buy some fresh veg­eta­bles or stop by for a hot­dog, a drink and their very de­li­cious ice cream.
