Red River North Garden and Art Tour Sunday July 22 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. $30
Tour beautiful gardens and enjoy amazing artwork found among the flowers of private yards and public sites along the Red River North. The tour consists of four public gardens and four private yards and a market stop along the way.
The four public spaces are Gaynor Family Regional Library and its prairie grass gardens with an interpreter, Selkirk waterfront, Captain Kennedy House gardens and St. Andrews Heritage Centre. There are two urban yards within the city of Selkirk, one private yard in St. Andrews and one in St. Clements.
There will be artists of all kinds in each of the gardens. The artists who are attending will be painters, potters, jewelry makers, and others showing stained glass, steel works, barn quilts and chain saw carvings to name just a few.
Thanks to one sponsor, Skinners Locks Market, you can enjoy a rural market, buy some fresh vegetables or stop by for a hotdog, a drink and their very delicious ice cream.
