Pot­tery prof­its help the com­mu­nity

The Medicine Hat Pot­tery As­so­ci­a­tion uses the sum­mer’s an­nual Chili Cookoff to sell chili bowls to the hun­gry pub­lic. Net pro­ceeds from the chili bowl sales are then do­nated to a cou­ple of lo­cal char­i­ties. This year’s re­cip­i­ents were the Medicine Hat Food Bank and the Sal­va­tion Army, with each char­ity re­ceiv­ing $2.036. In the photo at left, Celina Sym­monds of the Food Bank ac­cepts an over­sized cheque from Kim Wick­strom and Lenora Stein, right, of the Pot­ters’ As­so­ci­a­tion while in the photo at right, Maj. Mur­ray Jaster of the Sal­va­tion Army and Donna Miller, di­rec­tor of The Sal­va­tion Army Com­mu­nity Resource Cen­tre, ac­cept a cheque from Wick­strom and Stein.
