Mi­nor in­jures in pedes­trian-ve­hi­cle col­li­sion on SE Hill

One man was taken to hos­pi­tal Fri­day af­ter­noon af­ter a col­li­sion be­tween a ve­hi­cle and a pedes­trian.

At about 12:15 p.m. a man on rollerblades was struck by a ve­hi­cle at the cor­ner of Fifth Av­enue NE and Dundee Street, near Alexan­dra Mid­dle School.

S/Sgt. Ja­son Gra­ham said later Fri­day the in­ves­ti­ga­tion is on­go­ing and added the pedes­trian suf­fered mi­nor in­juries and was taken to hos­pi­tal for pre­cau­tion­ary rea­sons.

Mean­while, the po­lice are re­port­ing no in­juries from an ac­ci­dent Fri­day morn­ing when a 55-year-old fe­male mak­ing a right turn onto Maple Av­enue from a gas bar turned too sharply and struck a bus shel­ter.

Dam­age to the shel­ter was $2,000 while dam­age to the ve­hi­cle was es­ti­mated at $10,000.
