Everyone must pitch in

David Miller, president and CEO of WWF Canada, says any signi icant progress on the path to save Canada’s wildlife will require action from all levels – communities, businesses and government.

“It’s clear from the report that this really signi icant loss of wildlife is due to human activity,” he said. “In order to change it, we all need to change the way we are acting.”

He is encouraging people to volunteer at local conservation and habitat restoration groups and to consider what their employers can do to support wildlife.

The key is to think local – even something as small as planting native species in your garden can help species at risk in your community, he said.
