Transit to roll out digital signage
OC Transpo is installing 74 new digital transit information screens this fall.
The signs will provide up-tothe-minute departure information, as well as information about service disruptions and changes.
The roll-out is part of the service’s broader modernization in advance of the opening of the LRT. It will be focused on installing digital signage at stops along the Transitway and at future stops along the Confederation LRT line.
According to a memo sent to members of council by John Manconi, GM of transportation services, the signage will then be rolled out to more complex and busy bus stations, depending on how much of the budget is left over.
