Cyclist pinned under truck
A 40-year-old cyclist was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after her leg was pinned under a garbage truck’s wheel Tuesday morning in East York.
The truck was trying to make a right-hand turn on Cosburn Avenue from Donlands Avenue when it hit the cyclist, Toronto police Const. Clint Stibbe said.
The woman was bleeding heavily and had her leg pinned under the truck, Const. Jenniferjit Sidhu said. The woman was freed by emergency crews and rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries, said deputy commander Jamie Rodgers of Toronto Paramedic Services. TORSTAR NEWS SERVICE
