The perfect, flashy but inexpensive Father’s Day gift will be rolling onto Bloor Street June 15, as the fifth annual Yorkville Exotic Car Show takes over what’s known as the Mink Mile. Being held from noon until 5 p.m., the free event takes place on Bloor between Avenue Road and Bay Street. The event is a fundraiser for Prostate Cancer Canada and will feature more than 120 classic and exotic cars, from Ferraris to Porsches.

In April, provincial transit agency Metrolinx revealed to the public that they were considering the closure of the Northbound Allen Expressway in order to ease congestion on Eglinton Avenue during the construction of the Eglinton Cross Town Light Rail Transit (LRT) line. The proposal, which proved unpopular among residents and business owners, was taken off the table, as confirmed in a media release issued by the agency.

North Toronto and Village residents will have a chance to attend the North Toronto Summer Postage Stamp Show on June 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Yorkminster Park Baptist Church. Admission to the show is free.

Hillcrest Village BIA is introducing the firstever St. Clair Uncorked; a one-day wine event for local businesses to discover and share wines of the world, including Ontario’s best. The June 28 event is meant to help the street become the destination of choice for shoppers and diners by creating memorable wine-tasting experiences. Expert sommelier Zoltan Szabo, originally from Hungary, will be on hand to work with business owners on creating memorable wine-tasting experiences.
