Michael Summerfield is a 25-year restaurant veteran and is the president of Prohibition Gastrohouse (PGH), a full-service restaurant and late night party place now celebrating its 10th year at Queen & Broadview. PGH was conceived to appeal to a wide demographic. “We have kids here for brunch and at night we evolve from a dinner into a party place with a dance floor and DJ. Whenever you’re here, we want to make sure you have a great time!” Summerfield describes the food menu as “elevated, global comfort food” with truffle Mac n’ Cheese, Spanish Conservas, crab cake sliders, and an oyster bar. PGH is committed to using the freshest ingredients and cooking from scratch, including smoking their own meats and baking their own bread. PGH offers two “Hooch Hour” promotions between 5-7pm and 10-11pm every day when all Ultra-Premium Bar Rail, beers, and house wines are on special for $5.09. Michael just opened up the second PGH at 40 Eglinton East with a total of 414 seats and a 120-seat patio. He’s excited about the new location. “We believe we have something different to bring to this neighbourhood and we appreciate the warm welcome we’ve received!”
