Downtown haute spots venture uptown

Midtown Post - - Food -

There’s a lot happening uptown these days, and some of the downtown’s top restos are taking notice and expanding north of Bloor. A new Bar Buca at Yonge and Eglinton is slated to open this fall, another is planned for Yonge and St. Clair next year, and the Vaughan Buca opens in 2020. Although we may have lost Mark McEwan’s North 44, in its space comes a new location for Byblos (2537 Yonge St.). The downtown upmarket Mediterranean restaurant with an outpost in Miami Beach plans to open on Yonge in winter 2018. Finally, the folks behind Terroni, your source for thin-crust pizza, plan to open a restaurant inside the new development at Yonge and Montgomery in a joint venture with Cumbrae’s.

HEY GOOD LOOKIN’ We can’t wait for the new Byblos and Buca (inset) to open on Yonge.
