Birthday Guy: Actor Chris Tucker was born in Atlanta on this day in 1971. This birthday guy has starred in such movies as “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk,” “Silver Linings Playbook,” and “Rush Hour.” He is next rumored to be reprising his role as Carter for a fourth time in the upcoming sequel “Rush Hour 4.” Tucker made his acting debut on an episode of “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper” in 1992.

Aries (March 21-April 19): Don’t just tell people how to do it, show them. You stand out in a crowd because you have an intuitive grasp of how to quickly make valuable changes. Get attention for what you do right, not for what you do wrong.

Taurus (April 20-May 20): Take advantage of every opportunity to dazzle others with your expertise. You may even appear better than usual and win new supporters. You can be professional but friendly and warm at the same time.

Gemini (May 21-June 20): Dare to share. To triumph over impractical fantasies, have faith in others and remember that sharing is the basis of all relationships. A partner may be enthused about moneymaking plans even if they are unfeasible.

Cancer (June 21-July 22): You may feel there is a contest to see who can spend the most or land on top by exaggerating business prowess. You may spend too much money in an effort to win admiration.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): Follow your bliss. When everyone else is falling apart, you are able to keep focused on inner inspirations. The more effort you put into achieving your dreams the faster they will materialize. Keep your piggy bank locked up.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Count your blessings, not your money. There is no need to stray from the truth or to embellish an idea, as it can stand up to scrutiny. Remain clear as a bell when communicating with family members and business associates.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Have a positive change of heart. Vague worries and fears centered on your reputation will dissipate leaving you free to take action. Don’t be shy or timid, as amorous adventures are likely later this evening.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Your comfort blanket might be knit with creativity. You have the talent and resourcefulness to amuse yourself while others twiddle their thumbs. To create anything worthwhile may require physical effort. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Listen to other people. Gather opinions and advice before you make a major change or crucial decision. Someone might have an ingenious solution that will solve a problem that has held you back.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Tackle the toughest things first. Ignore displays of selfishness on the job or from partners and be generous with your time and talent. A little initiative behind the scenes might earn you a healthy pat on the back.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Times flies, so it might be wise to create a flight plan. If there is quite a lot to do, just remember that you are the pilot. A little advance organization will ensure that you reach your destination with time to spare.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): You will do no harm if you charm and disarm them. Your people skills are especially effective in the work environment, where people will appreciate and recognize your loyalty. Be a people person.

if August 31 is your birthday: Peace and prosperity may be yours to enjoy as the next five to six weeks unfold. You are shrewd about business matters and have sound advice at your disposal, so this is a good time to focus on moneymaking activities. Embrace any opportunity that comes your way this month or in December, as it will have positive consequences. Aim to launch your important plans for the future in December when others are more inclined to be generous and will help you with whatever you wish to accomplish. In February, honor your ideal work ethic and keep your nose to the grindstone so you will be prepared when opportunity knocks again.
