Gems in Swift video are real, very expensive

Montreal Gazette - - CITY -

Taylor Swift brought the bling for her recently released music video, Look What You Made Me Do.

Jeweller Neil Lane loaned Swift gemstones from his personal vault for the shoot, stones worth about US$10 million. The gems surround Swift in a bathtub in one scene. “I had to go to the vault for this one,” Lane told Hollywood Life. “They (producers) wanted an over-the-top, glamorous look so we gave them unprecedented access to my collection ... Diamonds have never looked better.”

Security was reportedly very tight during the video shoot.

Look What You Made Me Do, the first single off Swift’s new album Reputation, set the record for most-watched YouTube video in the first 24 hours of release, with 43.2 million views.
