Distinguished Gentlemen’s ride

Montreal Times - - Movember -

Founded in 2012 in Sydney, Australia by Mark Hawwa, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is an annual, international charity event celebrating classic and vintage styled motorcycles and the dapper gentlefolk that ride them. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride’, the world’s greatest motorcycling charity event, shines a light upon the bikes, fashion and ideals of a bygone era, all for a good cause.

That first ride in 2012 brought together over 2,500 riders across 64 cities. The success of the event encouraged the founder to consider how it could be used to support a worthy cause. In 2016, over 56,000 participants in 505 cities in 90 countries raised over $3.6M for prostate cancer research & men's mental health programs in partnership with the Movember Foundation, the official beneficiary partner.

Now in its fifth year as a charity event, more than 70,000 riders in over 600 cities across 95 countries are expected to take part in their local city this year. With a goal of raising $5 million, funds will be invested globally in men’s mental health and prostate cancer programs by the Movember Foundation.
