We were lucky enough to attend the media launch for the new Rosetta bakery situated in the ecclectic St-Henri neighbourhoood. Guests were introduced to Rosetta, the matriarch and heart of this family-run business. Her charming daughter Maria Cammarelleri explained to us that Rosetta was the inspiration for many of the products offered. She and her son Rocco have established this bakery and filled it with scrumptious delights that you will find very difficult to resist.

Available to sample were various homemade pizzas, calzones, arrancinis, cannoli and brioche apple bread, to name a few. Furthermore, many of the items we tasted were part of their catering service menu, such as colorful beet or fennel salads, canapés, and bite-sized sandwiches, all of which were delicious. The customized cake service has already gained repeat customers and the unique cake samples on display were impressive to say the least. The bakery also sells homemade pasta sauces and caponata, as well as some specialty imported products.

There is no doubt that this bakery will become a Montreal establishment, since it combines the essential quality needed to make its mark : at its heart, a hard-working family committed to providing topquality products.

Should you be in need of some comforting sweet or savory foods, drop by Rosetta Bakery, and while you are ordering, take a look at the modern whimsical design of the space, created by Benjamin Van den Eede, of Le BV Design.

Rosetta Bakery is situated at 3631 Notre Dame Street, at the corner of Rosa de Lima in St-Henri. Tel.: 514 379 1558.
