Easter wines – No mat­ter if you are cook­ing ham, lamb, fish or poul­try this Easter, chances are you are serv­ing wine with your meal. Here I have some quick and sim­ple wine tips to help you get your pair­ings right.

Ter­razas de los An­des Reserva Caber­net Sauvignon 2015 ( SAQ # 13551371 $21.35)

Ter­razas de los An­des was founded in 1999, in the heart of Mendoza, a renowned wine­mak­ing re­gion in the west of Ar­gentina, on an es­tate where the first un-grafted vines were planted in 1929. Its name comes from the “ter­razas”, a se­ries of ter­raced plateaus at the foot of the An­des moun­tain range, at dif­fer­ent al­ti­tudes rang­ing from 600 to 1,500 me­ters. On th­ese ter­races, each of the grape va­ri­eties that they grow – mal­bec, caber­net sauvignon, tor­ren­tés and chardon­nay – are planted at op­ti­mum al­ti­tudes to ben­e­fit from ideal ripen­ing con­di­tions.

This Ar­gen­tinian Caber­net dis­plays a spicy nose that brings to mind nu­ances of white pep­per com­ple­mented by dry fruit and wal­nuts, with ex­plo­sions of red fruit...
