Judy Guan is the new­est restau­rant owner of Moose Jaw. Lo­cated on Main Street in down­town Moose Jaw, the Jin Xiu Restau­rant is set to open on De­cem­ber 22nd for li­cenced din­ing. It will fea­ture tra­di­tional Chi­nese and Cana­dian dishes with some vari­a­tions, all made in­house and us­ing lo­cal, fresh in­gre­di­ents. In­no­va­tive dishes in­clude chicken sautée with melon, pork with shred­ded potato, gin­ger fried shred­ded beef and more. There is also a wide se­lec­tion of fam­ily and party com­bi­na­tion din­ners for up to six peo­ple. A buf­fet is served over the lunch and din­ner hours, with an ad­di­tional menu listing in­di­vid­ual dishes. There is also a Chi­nese style fon­due. Pa­trons choose the type of meat they want, from beef to seafood, and are pro­vided with a broth, ei­ther mild or spicy, to cook it at their ta­ble. There is both de­liv­ery and ca­ter­ing avail­able. In the near fu­ture, Jin Xiu Restau­rant is plan­ning to of­fer meals for fundrais­ing pur­poses. Ren­o­va­tions were made to the space to bring it up to code, and to make it ac­ces­si­ble to all res­i­dents. The restau­rant is large, with com­fort­able seat­ing and lots of nat­u­ral light. Guests have a choice of sit­ting in booths or at ta­bles. It is a fam­ily-run busi­ness open from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily, ex­cept Mon­days and hol­i­days.
