Turnaround

There have been a few times over the years that our horses have escaped their pasture. One such time was during the night when a young horse, a mare heavy in foal and Big Sweet Pea’s prize barrel racing gelding left and were seen miles down the highway by our neighbor. Thankfully, he put them in a nearby pasture and we were able to get them the next day. We just had a few escapees again recently but this time I saw them on their way out of Dodge. Two young ones, along with two miniatures, thought their time of freedom had finally come and they wasted no time making their way out of the yard on a run. Thankfully, Big Sweet Pea hopped in a vehicle and got down ahead of them before they went to Timbuktu! All she had to do was get ahead of them, turn the car around and honk the horn and they knew they had better obey. Sure enough, I see them bee-lining for the corral like a streak of lightning; otherwise, who knows where they would’ve ended up! There are times in our lives when we can get off course or become discouraged with the direction our lives are headed and sometimes we just need an intervention and encouragement to change where we are headed. Maybe we are like those four-legged animals that seem to think that the grass is greener beyond the fence but need to be reminded we must get back to where it is best for us to be. Or maybe, we are actually on a path that isn’t where we should be and we need an intervention to stop us in our tracks and get us back on the right course. There are many, many words right now that indicate we are in a turnaround season. Let this be a comfort and encouragement to you that no matter what you are experiencing, that God has a turnaround planned for your life. Steve Porter gave this word: “I am the God of the turnaround! For some time now you have been asking Me when things are going to turn around - when the winds of change are going to start blowing, when the winds of favor will head your way. Well, the time is now, and I’m going to begin to restore everything that the locust has eaten! It’s time for your turnaround. Did I not make a pathway for My people through the Red Sea? Did I not provide water from a rock to give refreshment? Did I not send manna and quail to feed My people? Did I not give direction by a cloud during the day and a pillar of fire during the night to lead them?”If I did that for My people then don’t I care just as much about you? Can I not bring order from your chaos or refreshment from the dry places in your life? Can I not resurrect even the dead things? ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the LORD. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’ “This is not a time to fold your hands and fall asleep. It’s a time to decree and declare that you have victory through Me. So ask Me today for your turnaround. I’m releasing favor over you. I’m restoring your honor and giving you a fresh mandate from heaven. I am ready to arise and scatter your enemies.” Receive this word for you, personally today! Tape it on your fridge or bathroom mirror and reread God’s word everyday! Get it in your spirit and BELIEVE what He says will come to pass! As we turn up the calendar into another month, may you be encouraged to see that God is waiting to turn around things in your life. Ask Him. Seek Him and see His provision and perfection in everything that concerns you. Have an amazing week, dear readers! Scripture references: Jeremiah 29:11, Psalms 68:1
