Safeway ‘Canada Screams For Ice Cream’ Campaign
This summer Moose Jaw Safeway took part in the ‘Canada Screams For Ice Cream’ campaign in support of the Girl Guides of Moose Jaw and our Kids Paying It Forward program. As part of our core values to ‘proudly serve our communities’ we are very proud to serve Moose Jaw and the surrounding communities. Customers came in to the store and purchased an ice cream bar for just two dollars. 100% of the sale went directly to the Girl Guides of Moose Jaw. In just six hours they raised $694. In addition, our store donated $392 as part of the campaign for a total of $1086. The celebration didn’t stop there. As part of our celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary, we empowered the kids to help their local community. Moose Jaw Safeway donated $500 to the Girl Guides to present to an organization of their choice and they chose the Moose Jaw Humane Society. Well done girls!
