Phoenix Academy gets ready for their first school year in their new building
Be Joyful in Hope is the theme of the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division this year. It is a palpable feeling in every building as staff prepare for the students’ arrival September 5th but even more so at Phoenix Academy where the staff are busy moving into their new building at 278 4th Ave. N.E. It was a deep hope in the hearts of all involved that Phoenix students and staff would have a building to call home. That HOPE was realized when the Board of Holy Trinity Catholic School Division purchased the former pharmacy and doctors’ office building on 4thAvenue N.E. The staff are “Joyful in Hope” – It is a Hope that has been realized. The new building is reflective of Phoenix Academy’s mission of “meeting individual needs in a God-centered, empowering, hope-filled learning community.” Phoenix Academy is an interagency learning program for students 16 – 21. It is designed to accommodate students whose needs cannot be met in the traditional school system and to facilitate academic success for at risk youth who may have dropped out of school. Registration at Phoenix Academy started on September 5th. If interested in registering, please contact Jeff Lynnes at (306) 694-1289 extension 2122 or come in person.
