Gen­er­als earn tie in Tis­dale

Com­ing back from be­ing down four goals to the Tis­dale Tro­jans, the Moose Jaw Gen­er­als earned their first point of November in a 4-4 tie on the road Sun­day af­ter­noon. The Gen­er­als also lost 4-0 Satur­day in Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League ac­tion.

Satur­day, Ethan Hein stopped 34 of 38 Tis­dale shots. Tis­dale led 1-0 af­ter the first pe­riod and 4-0 af­ter the se­cond. The Gen­er­als fired 23 shots on Tis­dale’s net. Sun­day, Jaxsen Wiebe and Jaxon Ge­or­get scored late in the se­cond pe­riod to bring the Gen­er­als to 4-2 sown. Then as time wound down, the Gen­er­als’ Skyler Sang­ster scored with 2:14 on the clock and then with seven sec­onds left, Wiebe notched his se­cond of the game. Over­time solved noth­ing and the game ended 4-4. Jake David­son stopped 38 shots in the tie.

The Gen­er­als play a trio of games this week. They travel to York­ton Thurs­day to play the Maulers and then a pair of home games at Mo­saic Place on the week­end – Satur­day against the Saska­toon Blaz­ers at 1:30 p.m. and Sun­day against the Beardy’s Black­hawks at 1:30 p.m.
