New bus route planned

Moose Jaw Times Herald - - FRONT PAGE - SARAH LADIK

While the STC won’t be running buses from the capital to the Friendly City anymore, there should be another option — designed especially for students — come this fall.

“We are trying to help students get to SIAST,” said owner of Rider Express, Firat Uray on Friday.

The route would take students from Regina to Moose Jaw’s Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus and back, running every day except Sundays. Uray said the price for students would be between $10 and $13 per ride, with other travellers paying $15.

The line operated by STC up until this spring took between 25 and 40 students every day, according to Uray. The company is already running a service between Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert, which has proven itself to be a success.
