Man charged, accused of threatening children with a broom handle
A man has been accused of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, along with resisting arrest, after a series of events in Moose Jaw last night. Police responded to an incident in Smith Park in South Hill Thursday at about 10:30 p.m., after a witness had called about an altercation there. Const. Kent Westrom of the Moose Jaw Police Service told the Times-Herald a dispute between one of the accused’s family members and some other children took place. The man then allegedly brandished a cutoff broom handle while confronting the children. The man was released and will appear in court at a later date.
