Death of Mervin Boutillier a great mystery

Moose Jaw Times Herald - - OPINION -

Appropriate hospital care was given and a wound was found on his right temple. An X-ray was ordered, done and quickly read. The X-ray showed Mr. Boutillier had a bullet in his head, lodged between his eyes. Inspector Bell was informed of the situation.

When he was able to talk to police, Boutillier said he had accepted a ride in a grey coupe automobile with strangers, assuming they would take him to where he could buy cigarettes. He said the car was driven north on Main Street, turned west on Stadacona Street West.

His next memory of the events was being in the vicinity of the Robin Hood Flour Mill. It was there, he told Bell, he was struck on the head, robbed of $50.00 and thrown from the car. From there, and with great difficulty, he walked back to his downtown hotel room.

Look out for Part II next week.
