Cross-country runners open season
Over 200 runners compete at Moose Jaw Invitational
the medal sweep.
In the elementary school midget girls’ division, Ava Unser of Sunningdale was the winner finishing ahead of Chloe Johns of Palliser Heights in second and Nicole Gray of Sunningdale in third.
Sunningdale continued their great meet by sweeping the podium in the elementary school junior girls division. Jadyn Palaschuk was the winner, Kaycelyn Troesch finished second and Morgan Capili was third.
Palliser Heights runners finished one-two in the senior girls division, as Cadence Johns crossed the finish line first followed by Ellie Gauvin. Aria Swanson of Sunningdale finished third.
Sunningdale was also successful in the boys divisions, as they swept the podium in both the peewee and bantam divisions.
Brady Therrien won the peewee division, finished ahead of Kyren Ernest in second and Marcus Capili in third.
In the bantam division, Max Simmons was first, with Zachren Rhinas in second and Kohen Miller in third.
Keenan Gross of King George kept Lindale from sweeping the podium as he won the midget boys division. Kayde Kell was second and Payton Kell was third.
Sunningdale’s Carter Michaluk was the winner of the junior boys division, with Nicholas Kessler of Coronach in second and Sunningdale’s Matthew Knox in third.
To round out the day, Zidane Closs of Sunningdale won the elementary senior boys division, crossing the line ahead of Justin Kraiss of Rouleau and Samuel Simonsen of Gravelbourg.
