Coun­cil must de­cide through a bal­lot vote which cit­i­zens will be ap­pointed to its boards, com­mit­tees and com­mis­sions Mon­day night. Mae Far­rer, of Holy Trin­ity Catholic School Di­vi­sion, along with Dalise Hec­tor and Ste­fanie Palmer of Moose Jaw Mul­ti­cul­tural Coun­cil Inc. and Cory Amiskusees and Rose­marie Zaba Ste­wart of Saskatchewan Polytech­nic are set to be ap­pointed to the Cul­tural Di­ver­sity Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee un­til Aug. 31, 2019. Ad­min­si­tra­tion has rec­om­mended that Tracy Moody be ap­pointed to the Her­itage Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee un­til Aug. 31, 2019, as is Larry Hellings. Jim Can­non and Paul Wilder, rep­re­sent­ing the Moose Jaw Hous­ing Au­thor­ity, are set to take two-year po­si­tions on the Hous­ing Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee be­gin­ning Jan. 1, 2018. Terry Ga­bel and John Par­sons are ex­pected to be ap­pointed to the Mu­nic­i­pal Plan­ning Com­mis­sion for a term be­gin­ning Jan. 1 2018 and end­ing Dec. 31 2020. Mark Han­son and Kim John­son have been rec­om­mended to the Parks and Re­cre­ation Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee for terms be­gin­ning im­me­di­ately un­til Aug. 31, 2019. The Spe­cial Needs Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee should be wel­com­ing James Al­lonby be­gin­ning im­me­di­ately un­til Aug. 31 2019. He is also set to be ap­pointed to the Trans­porta­tion Ser­vices Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee be­gin­ning im­me­di­ately. An ex­ten­sive cam­paign was launched, ad­ver­tis­ing the va­cant po­si­tions in the Moose Jaw Times-Her­ald, Moose Jaw Ex­press, Dis­cover Moose Jaw web­site and Mix 103, Coun­try100 and CHAB ra­dio sta­tions.
