Our Canada Out & About About
HOLLAND Richard Postma of Dunnville, Ont., says, “In 1952, when I was ten years old, my family emigrated from Holland to Canada. I hadn’t been back until last summer, when my daughter Brenda and I visited my hometown of Nieuwersluis, where I grew up. This photo was taken in Kinderdyke, which is known for its 18th-century windmills. I took along my favourite magazine and waited for the right time to showcase it and Holland together. It was wonderful to share this experience with my daughter.”
FLORIDA Sharon Walton of Okotoks, Alta., writes, “While visiting my sister-in-law Linda Laezza in Bonita Springs, Fl., we all took a day trip inland to Immokalee. We passed many orange orchards and just had to stop for a photo. Linda snapped this pic of me (holding the magazine) and my mother-in-law, Aline Levacque, who had brought along her copy of Ourcanada.” Have you brought Our Canada with you on your travels?
