More Hidden Treasures

I was intrigued reading the story “A Treasure Reclaimed” (February-march 2017) by Jo-anne Sheanh. Ever since I was a teen, I enjoyed reading my father’s autograph book that was dated 1926-1937. Just like Ms. Sheanh, my dad’s little book includes similar artwork and poetry—much of it very good, in my opinion! I loved reading the fascinating entries from his schoolmates at West Vancouver High School, workmates at the Bank of Toronto, hiking buddies, and one entry from my mother in 1935. I met some of his buddies over the years, while others I only heard my dad speak of. He relished reading and re-reading his little leather-bound book until his death in 2007 at almost 95 years of age. This is definitely one of my favourite family heirlooms. Rosemary Brown, Surrey, B. C.
